Speech-Language Therapy
Speech-language therapy is treatment for children and adults who have difficulties with communication or with swallowing. More specifically according to American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, speech disorders occur when a person is unable to produce speech sounds correctly or fluently, or has problems with their voice or resonance. Language disorders occur when a person has trouble understanding others or expressing himself/herself. A speech-language therapist will customise treatment plan after a thorough assessment.
Cochlear Implant Consultation
Cochlear implant may be suitable for those who do not benefit from conventional hearing aids. Thorough assessment will be carried out by audiologist, speech-language therapist and Ear, Nose, Throat surgeon before an implantation is done.
Middle Ear Implant Consultation
Middle ear implant may be suitable for those who cannot use conventional hearing aids for medical reasons. Thorough assessment will be carried out by audiologist and Ear, Nose, Throat surgeon to determine if a person meets the candidacy criteria.
Forums and Talks
Our audiologists and speech-language therapists visit schools, hospitals, factories, and NGO’s to deliver talks on hearing, speech and language. The topics covered include causes of hearing loss, consequences of hearing loss, hearing conservation, hearing devices, speech delay in children, speech milestones, stuttering, literacy problem, tips to improve speech development and more.
